The owner of this cargo trailer had purchased and mounted most of the electrical components, but reached out to us for the wiring and solar panel installation.

Eight 200W solar panels were mounted to unistrut rails suitable for this trailer's roof construction, and wires were run through the roof to the hybrid inverter. The battery bank was wired together in a 2S2P configuration to be compatible with the provided 24V hybrid inverter. A battery balancer was added to keep the top and bottom batteries in check. Additionally, a battery monitor and display were installed with midpoint voltage monitoring to make sure the batteries stay in sync for optimal performance and longevity.

The hybrid inverter was wired up and connected to the input and output AC load centers. This allows the air conditioner, residential fridge, and outlets to function whether or not the trailer is plugged in. A soft start was also installed on the air conditioner unit. A 24V to 12V converter was added and the main wires going to the 12V fuse panel were upgraded. All this work allows this cargo trailer to have a functional electrical system anytime and anywhere!
