Two mismatched solar panels were installed on the trailer from the manufacturer, as well as a cheap PWM charge controller. This wasn't enough to power the refrigerator and other equipment for a weekend camping trip, so we gave the electrical system an upgrade!

Five 100W solar panels were added for a total solar array size of 600W. The PWM charge controller was replaced with a Victron 50A MPPT charge controller, allowing the system to charge at a much higher rate. A battery voltage and temperature sensor was also installed on the battery bank. This overall improvement will allow for longer camping trips without having to worry about running out of power for the fridge, lights, slides, water pump, and other 12V electrical equipment.
