The existing solar system in this 5th wheel wasn't enough to power the entire trailer, nor was it wired in such a way to do so. We upgraded the system to be able to power everything while off-grid, and with a much longer runtime than before.

We removed the existing batteries and inverter. In their place we were able to perfectly fit three new lithium iron phosphate batteries, along with an inverter/charger capable of powering the trailer while dry camping (including one air conditioner unit). Four more 100W solar panels were added in parallel to the four existing panels, doubling the amount of solar production with plenty of room for future upgrades. To top it off, a battery monitor and inverter control panel were installed on an inside wall for easy monitoring and system control.
