Off-Grid Cabin - Weber County
The all-in-one inverter and solar charge controller system at this cabin had decided that its time was up, so a replacement was in order!
We removed the old equipment and installed a new 5,000W inverter in its place. The AC input and output were rewired to allow for a portable generator to either connect to the system, or bypass the inverter and directly power the cabin. Additionally, a new 60A MPPT solar charge controller was connected to the existing pole mount solar array. The existing battery bank was rewired to a disconnect switch, fuse, and battery monitor shunt. The rest of the DC connections were made via the 1000A busbar distributor. To top it all off, a Cerbo GX communication hub and touchscreen display were installed to allow for both local and remote monitoring.
